About Centreville Preservation

Why

On February 27, 2024 Resolution 24-072 was adopted by New Castle County Council to allow developments of 10 houses per acre to be constructed anywhere in the Centreville Hometown Overlay.  


Most residents and property owners in and around Centreville were completely unaware of this radical zoning change to the Centreville Village Design Plan.


Because this legislation was carefully kept from the community there was very little opposition at the meeting.  This legislation easily passed.
